Well, hi there!

Nice to e-meet you. I’m Je t’aime, and yes, that means ‘I love you’ in French. I adore thinking about how everything is energy and that every time someone says my name, it is spreading good vibes. Chances are, you have no idea how to say it - unless you know ‘un petit peu’ of French. It’s kind of like zsuh-tem. On the ‘energy front,’ I’m a reiki intuitive and deeply spiritual.

I’m passionate about community, (over)sharing, analysing the madness of the human experience, exploring our triggers and having beautiful, free, heartfelt, open, judgement-free discussions. I’m an open book and don’t know how to be any other way. Thankfully, Brene Brown said that ‘vulnerability was a superpower’ and I like her, so let’s roll with that. Within a few minutes of meeting me, people start telling me their life stories, which I think is a privilege. All your stories are welcome here too.

I’m obsessed with mindfulness and meditation. I began studying mindfulness many years ago, and it has been my gentle guide as I journey through the beautiful mess of life and thus, sharing it is now a passion and a life purpose. I’m also particularly interested in psychology, neuroplasticity and mindset and have made massive shifts in my personal growth since heightening my self-awareness. I love sharing this stuff. In fact, I busted my backside to self-publish a children’s book to teach families mindfulness, self-regulation and communication skills. It’s getting rave reviews from psychologists, parents and kids. You can check The Little Tiger with the Big Temper at my store if you are in New Zealand or at Amazon if you are overseas.

However, there are many things I am not. I am not a Buddhist nun. I am not a psychologist. I’m a mum in the trenches, a deep-thinker whose brain will rarely STF up, and a student of life.

I tend to reside in the grey areas of being human. I don’t see ‘sides’, I see an accumulation of stories and experiences that can cloud our vision and tint our outlook. I love exploring the meaning behind everything about our ‘self’ - our decisions and reactions, and making sense of what makes us who we are. We learn so much when we take the time to think.

So, what’s in this newsletter… Sometimes I reflect on my epiphanies, sometimes I rant about politics. I might post some meditations. I may launch a podcast. I might interview fascinating people. I guess this is an outlet for emotions and thoughts; a safe space. And you are welcome. Please feel free to post your thoughts in the comments. Thank you for being here with me.
